As a class, we deciphered a medical case study on bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Antibiotic resistance appears when bacterial growth cannot be effectively suppressed by antibiotics. In this case, the patient eventually died due to an open bacterial infection and antibiotic resistance. The article was showing how to prevent and find a solution for antibiotic resistance.
